I am an aspiring Software Developer. Ever since I started in Software Development, I have not looked back.

I am an ambitious candidate and I hope to develop my skills even further. Currently, I am self-teaching in React.js and SASS. I believe I have the enthusiasm and the curiosity to be of benefit to you and your organization.

Experience

2017 - Computer Science Elective

I began my programming education through an elective in Computer Science at University College Cork. It was from this elective that where I learned the foundations of HTML, CSS.

2019 - Exposure to Web Development

Whilst attending college, I was enjoying the Computer Science modules more than my English major. I delved deeper into programming and was involved with working on a CMS through pantheon.io and Drupal, solely using PHP.

2020 - Code Institute & Employed by Amazon

I graduated from College with a Bachelors Degree. I then enrolled into the coding bootcamp 'Code Institute' whilst working part-time at Amazon. This is where I have gathered my most up-to-date programming skills.

PRESENT DAY

After the course, I have decided to specialize in the Front-End. I've created numerous projects and I am continuing to build my portfolio. I also attend careers meetings and I join hackathons with the bootcamp whenever possible. I will continue to learn and collaborate with others, as much as I can.

Fast-Travel

Self-Driving Taxi Delivery Service project (Front-End). This website/app uses a variety of Googlg's API's. These are utilised so that the user can create an order where their journey is displayed on the app and their preferences are remembered. The page is aimed to be fully interactive and informative.

Papercuts

Papercuts is a project created using Python and the Flask framework for the backend logic. The app gathers book reviews and profile data from its users. Its primary goal is data storage and data manipulation. It has many features such as user profiles, registration, log in functionality, defensive programming, responsiveness, creating and manipulating posts through CRUD operations.

This is the current personal portfolio website you are viewing right now. This is the very first project I have created and it depicts my front-end design capabilities. The project is made using HTML, CSS and Bootstrap.

Sneak'r Heads - E-commerce Project

This project focused on Full-Stack development which utilised the Django framework. The project was created to focus on selling the best sneakers produced by top brands. The project was produced through the following technologies: HTML, CSS, JS, JavaScript, Python, Django, SQLite3/PostgresSQL, AWS S3 and Heroku.
